My creative process is rooted on a certain degree of isolation, as well as a contemplative approach, and the practice of Zen Buddhism. I have always lived in a village on the mountains, located at the outskirts of Mexico City. This landscape has changed throughout the years due to the constant expansion of the city. I have been a witness to this process in my daily life; I have observed and documented thoroughly the changes and readjustments of the natural elements surrounding me.
My work is inspired by these landscapes, as well as personal memories and images that are suspended in time that I translate into lines, geometric and organic forms that move within the composition.
